Cuffed & Coiffed by Audrey Stuck-Girard supplies made-to-order historically-styled wigs for reenactors, theaters, museums, cosplayers, and performers. Each wig commission is a custom process, starting with a video call between Audrey and the customer where they discuss the details of the desired hairpiece. Following the consultation and receipt of a deposit, Audrey sources a base fashion wig in the desired color. She then uses tools, products, and techniques from historical hairdressing to create a bespoke hairpiece, accounting for the customer’s needs for accuracy, character, durability, and theatrical elements.

The same process is offered to customers who own a used wig and wish to have it cleaned and redressed in a historical style. After a video consultation where the wig is shown and discussed, the customer sends their wig to Cuffed & Coiffed, where all pins, elastics, and accessories are removed before the wig is gently washed, dried, and brushed out. Depending on the condition of the wig, some length or tough knots may be carefully clipped off. Once clean, the wig will be styled according to the customer’s wishes.
